So I haven't written in a while but I was always told if you haven't anything nice to say.......
The truth is I have been a busy bee
I have had a child since my last post and am really enjoying motherhood but to tell you the truth as most can attest it does not leave you a lot of time for well...... anything
But I love it!
I have been thinking about my child's future granted she is only three and a half months old but hey what mum doesn't think ahead.
The thing at the forefront for me at the moment is nutrition for kids.
What should I feed her?
How will I ensure she is not a fussy eater and so on and so on
I guess the fact that I watched "Jamie Oliver's food revolution" .got me thinking.
when I saw the kinds of thing they were feeding their kids on that show I was horrified sitting in my lounge room I was thinking i would never have all that junk food in my house and feeling all smug sipping my herbal tea.
The next morning when I woke up and my husband gathered all the recycling to put out he commented on all the empty packaging, to quote he said "look at all our rubbish it looks like the inside of the kitchen of that Family from the food revolution show" and looking at it he was right.
There was a cake mix (chocolate) 2 bottles of coke, a bag of Mcdonalds, Nandos and turkish pide
well well if wasn't the pot calling the kettle.......
The thing I realised is that there is a lot of junk in my life and if I am going to bring my baby up to eat right, it needs to start with the way my husband and I eat.
Leading by example and integrating it in our daily lives is important if you are going to teach your little ones the right way to eat
So back to basics, I have ordered my box of organic Fruit and Veg from shire organics (check it out pretty reasonable prices Sutherland Shire only).
And starting Monday I am getting rid of all the junk and fresh food is in.
Wish me luck
&
enjoy! xxx

my first blog..........

I would just like to start with a brief overview of what Euro Kids is about.
We started out with an idea although not entirely unique it still has some unique qualities to it. We wanted to bring European products mainly kids fashion here to Australia for Aussie mums and dads. Although the Internet has made it easier for us Aussies to shop from a vast selection of countries previously unavailable to us (barring hopping on a plane and flying for 23 hours) and lets face it if your in the market for Children's clothing and accessories being on a plane for that long would be a nightmare!!
So we did some research and yes we did get to go overseas on a "research trip".
We found some great labels.
CATIMINI French of course and most of their pieces have you wishing you were 4 again, Catimini is pretty popular overseas and has concept stores all over Europe, for the style and quality you find in their ranges prices are reasonable. Catimini is only stocked in about 4 boutiques in Australia.
LILICA RIPILICA again very popular overseas but not yet hit our shores, designed and produced in Brazil the land of Summer and colour. This label is all pretty colours and shapes, so it is a bit of a favourite with the 3 to 8 year old's. Lilica Ripilica is only available in Australia through us at Euro Kids.
above is just a brief introduction to what we do, so basically for us it's about quality first and foremost style which we believe we have down pat with the labels we have chosen and individuality you wont see every second child wearing the outfit you have bought form us and then it is convenience we deliver to your door no fuss or we do party plan so we still deliver to your door but you can try before you buy and have a laugh with family and friends at the same time. I will be posting blogs from time to time with information for mums and reipes so stay tuned otherwise see you at www.eurokidsclothing.com.au
